m.v. MARABELL

m.v. MARABELL was built in 1942. She was one of many wooden ships built during the Second World War for use in anti-submarine warfare and minesweeping.

She was bought by the Oak Bay Marine Group of Victoria BC in 1980 and was transformed into a beautifully appointed fishing resort ship. She retired from that occupation and her present whereabouts are unknown.

Marabell is depicted here in the inside passage on her way north to the Queen Charlotte Islands.
