Brenda has always enjoyed art, but practical considerations in life such as raising a family and working full time meant that art was shelved for about four decades. Since retiring she has become involved in the Pender Island Art Society and taken a few day and weekend workshops. She believes that being creative is a good cognitive workout! Brenda works mainly in watercolour, she loves the luminosity of the medium and appreciates its simple and relatively small set up requirements. She sometimes supplements her work with watercolour pencil and ink.
